I liked the idea and when I found it with an 'as new' discount I decided to take the chances and get one of the people be who were there at the end a good one. (That doesn't seem to be either a problem or ALL the problems.) I joined a record club with some really cool records and wanted to see them spin! Let me just say the design is so cool but there are some basic flaws that really kick it in the stride. First off, I missed the fine print that while the device already has Bluetooth speakers, it will NOT pair with your OWN speakers. Booooo! 👎👎Second, the plug cord attaches to the bottom of the device with no channel for embedding, so you can't put it on a counter or shelf. It sticks out about half an inch and completely destabilizes it. I ended up making 2 little risers out of a bunch of rubber coasters for each corner to even that out, but really - who wants that? keep the needle on the record. At first it seemed to play pretty well (I was playing a brand new record I bought with it) but subsequent records started to jump and it just seemed like there just wasn't enough weight to keep the needle in the groove. The lever of the needle, the little latch to secure it, and the raising and lowering lever were so fragile I was afraid of damaging them, so I carefully repackaged them and sent them back. Wow, I say! I like the color, the grips and the concept, but I should have listened to the feedback from other consumers. Rather, he listened to EVERYTHING and not just rolled the dice. I am very pleased that this has worked for many buyers. As for me, I think I'll save and invest in something further up the food chain.
