Beautiful, heavy mug with a classic style. The porcelain looks high quality. Actually a little more than I expected. I'm by no means an expert on these things, but I don't think it's meant to hold a bar of shaving soap. At least I don't use it for that. I only use it to make foam. Suitable for this. The density of porcelain holds the heat of hot water well. You see, this is a relatively inexpensive mug made in China. However, he keeps what he promised. I would buy it again. thank you for reading
