I recently moved out of the house and had to work on all the details of hanging pictures and putting up shelves to hang TVs on plasterboard walls which is not very easy in the place I work common is lived. The specialist wanted to charge me $400 to hang a 70" TV and that seemed like too much to me. I collected information how to do it yourself. And they suggested I buy a stud finder to find a wooden stud to attach screws to. He never used it and didn't even know it existed. The operation is simple, the device not only warns you that you have found the center of the stud, but also indicates in which direction to look for it. If you use the right screws, once positioned, the anchor attaches very securely to the stand and supports the TV (and more) with no issues. I also installed a shower rod. In this case, the bar has to support the weight of one person. It's not always possible to place all the screws in the wood, but at least you can get most to match the wood and, in cases where the wood isn't available, use a different type of dowel. The rest of the time I put up pictures, it's less tiring then, but it's always good to avoid electrical cords, which is another feature of the gear. I am very satisfied, the quality and the savings achieved far exceed the cost of the equipment.
