***** Update: It's been a year now and these USB lights are still working. Only now do I see the comments: No. The placement of this surge protector is not recommended! ***** The design was perfect for my needs. The screw slots someone mentioned are very poorly designed. However, once I removed the backing and changed those slots to accommodate the larger screw head, this wasn't a problem. As for durability, I'll let you know if something stops working. Used USB ports to power two LEDs. Bands almost continuously for several weeks.
