Review on πŸ”Š Flow Fx 3.00 (Off/Cen) Exhaust Muffler: Enhancing Performance and Sound by David Mills

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great tone! But too quiet for me.

Well, first off, the sound of this exhaust is amazing. It's deep and husky, without the hoarse and tinny sound of a muffler with a Flowmaster chamber. However, I bought it for my 4x4 project with a 350 SBC engine, I need an exhaust I can hear without serious hum. It doesn't hum at all, but it's too quiet in my opinion. That's only noticeable from the outside or with both windows open at low speeds if the wind doesn't drown it out. I think this is a great exhaust for a lot of people who want sound without the added noise. You only really hear it when you accelerate hard. However, it was too quiet for me. I don't do hard accelerations on my 4x4 monster. I will do it because. well, it's welded on. However, for many people with professional builds who want to hear their engine roar, this is not for you. I would consider a straight tube that looks like a cherry bomb. Or "glass bag". I would ask for an exchange but I'm pretty sure I can't do that because it's welded on. Hope this review helps. When you want to be unobtrusive around town but hear the engine revs when you press it. This is for you! If you want a little more volume than stock to hear that intermittent idle, consider the tube model. The test vehicle is a 1990 k2500. Short elbows for 2.5" elbows. Into a 3" pipe by 4 feet. Then the muffler on the 3" rear axle down, with the tip facing, 10" in front of the rear bumper. Hooray. Hope that helps.
