The disadvantage of this product is the 1 inch ball. The RAM mounting balls are rubbery and almost "soft" when you tighten them, so they don't move when tightened. On the other hand, that ball is solid and no matter how hard you tighten the clamp, it will still move if you put pressure on it. It may work for some but not for my situation. I tried to take it off or put it on, it moved because it never caught the ball properly. Ram sent back and received. Just spend the extra $5 to get the RAM brand if you're looking for good stability and zero motion.
