Review on πŸ–₯️ VA2719-SMH Frameless Monitor with Anti-Glare, 1920X1080P Inputs and 60Hz Refresh Rate by ViewSonic by Brett Zerola

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good for the price, honest review

This rating is after 3 months of use. The monitor is fine. Not 100% perfect though. I would still recommend for certain applications like a secondary monitor, although I have issues with sophistication. I have 2 dead pixel spots, tiny ones that can only be seen when searching. Not bad for the price, I can live with that. The bezel is tiny, but it's not the smallest that comes with LG's premium product lines. LG continues to be the best maker of high-end and next-gen panels. This Viewsonic panel is arguably an A class panel, not bad especially for the price. The panel is naturally warmer/yellow (not much) compared to the LG (which is slightly bluer/cooler) 1440p IPS panel, 60Hz, 10-bit, black LED-backlit, VESA mount. built into the back so no ugly brick AND uses a standard 3 pin/IEC C13 connector. No tamping, in case that matters. Good selection of ports, 2 HDMI 1 DisplayPort. There is a tone, but I do not use it, it is well checked. Bright enough thanks to the LED, 300+ nits OSD/Settings are average, good. The stand is medium in size and easy to remove. Finished. Not that bad. Compared to the LG GL850/GL83A panel, which costs almost twice as much at $400-$500, the non-gaming and average consumer IPS 1440p 144Hz monitor costs $200-$230, not a bad price. You can definitely get cheaper monitors with the same resolution, but I wanted a black LED backlight that costs a little more, resulting in more brightness and decent inputs.

Pros
  • Goodbye. The stand is unstable. I would recommend a stand mount for it
