Received this today so can't say how long it will last BUT my cats love it already. Put, put the box in the trash, came back and they were already fooling around. Pretty durable. The white thing in the upper part has a spring foot, so it holds up very well. We have 3 cats, 1 doesn't play at all and the other 2 go nuts! LOVE IT. Posted a photo. Didn't let me post the video. Update: It's been 6 months - my cats loved it. Today. The dog thought it would be nice to try to climb it and good. now it's garbage. We'll order another one. As with some previous posts, the lower area where cats scratch the most looks a little rabid now, but this was our cats' favorite activity and they run around the house and climb on this thing 200 times a day, sometimes as many as 3 cats. all this at the same time. He's holding up great! Update 2nd - Bought 6 months after the 1st. Received today and installed in 5 minutes. Exactly the same product but there is a color difference from the other. It's a little darker brown than the first one, but the cheap stuff is the same. Post photos of the new one showing the color difference and what you can expect the old one to look like in about 6 months. Even though it only lasts 6 months I still give it 5 stars. It's $40, man. If you want something to last for years you have to pay a ton more and I find that gross. Cats are nasty little creatures! Our cats love this item so much and seeing it get shredded means my sofa or curtains had to take it out so I'll consider it an estimate!
