Review on ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ Creality Enhanced 3D Platform: 235x235x3mm by Souly Buddy

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Overall it's better than a magnetic build plate but the biggest issue is adhesion

Mine had a small chip but it's not big enough to cause a problem and it's in the bottom plate. Surprisingly smooth underside for prints * No warping or other problems with the initial layer * Removal is often easier than with a magnetic board (although prints sometimes stick a little) * Perfectly flat printing surface! (much easier to align than a magnetic build plate) CONS * Adhesion isn't very good * Using medium clamps means you lose little build area (not much) * It takes longer to heat up OTHER * Noticeable yellowing of fabric after cleaning by rubbing alcohol , I'm not sure what it is, although it appears to be due to the adhesive layer * Be careful when handling, dropping this item on the floor is not a good idea. Positive rating for this record but that's only because this record is a headache and a half and I had to talk about it. This construction platform shows very quickly that a magnetic construction platform is not ideal for 3D printing in the long run. nor for larger prints for several reasons. (Brief review of the magnetic plate for comparison) The magnetic plate has a lot of power: you simply lift the platform and the prints detach instantly! However, this comes with a terrible trade-off: the build plate is very prone to denting when removing prints. This makes subsequent printing absolutely terrible; If you have hills and valleys on your worksheet, your starting plane will not be where the hills are. It's terrible, but I think it's easier to start with? In any case, the tempered glass platter does have a few downsides, but I'm convinced that this is an upgrade that the standard magnetic platter will outlive (for a number of reasons). ). To really use this plate without the famous glue tricks (hairspray, glue) I set the initial layer speed low, I mean very low. 10 mm/s (yes it's really low but it works) and I set the initial layer temperature to 80 degrees (I read somewhere but I don't remember where). This helps ensure even heating of the bed and the correct surface temperature of 60C or slightly higher. You could probably go a little less than 80, but I did. Now adhesion isn't that important and I have a lot more fun printing because I don't have to deal with the monster of a magnetic build plate. I give the magnet plate 3/5 stars when it's new, 2/5 when it's used and 1/5 when it's used AND degaussed :)))) have found it to work very well, with the Scissors that come with the printer (a godly tool to appreciate) to wiggle under the pressure and rip off the print. The print should just pop out.
