I first got this to have power buttons for some USB powered music devices I own (because otherwise I wouldn't have the unplug cable to turn off). For that it worked great. I like that you have to long press to turn it off, which prevents accidental presses. I've also recently used the USB 3.0 slots to load audio sample files onto 2 separate SD cards and it works fine. It's nice to only have one USB socket in my laptop and not have to constantly plug and unplug it from that socket. This seems to reduce wear on the bushings. All in all a great device for the price. I also use the Smart Jack to charge my phone, so it's very convenient.
