So I wasn't sure if this would work for noise reduction. I think it's just user error. Just check how much space you have and see how best to do it. I wasn't really thinking ahead lol so the door is a little harder to close but I prefer noise canceling. The video (it's audio only actually) shows the difference it made, I also put a tube of socks under the door (two pairs of long socks filled a lot of socks) I've had a lot of lost pairs :,( so that was helpful. I'm sure you can use a mat or buy a door cleaning brush but I went with this method, I also have foam sheets but they were already installed so they are irrelevant to the difference The only difference between the two entries: 1. a closed door and 2. a closed door with stripes and a sock tube underneath.
