Review on πŸ”§ Efficient and Reliable OTC 6980 Heavy Duty Brake Drum and Rotor Puller - Get the Job Done Right! by Lorenzo Wood

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Chevy C2500 3/4 ton, 2WD.

The thing works great. The supplement says up to 12 and 3/4 inches. Well, my drums are a plus. The arms were about an inch from the ends of the pole. So much so that the spring guard went out. I just aligned and tightened it. Wrap the ribbon tight. I took a 1 inch wrench and put it on the head. Then I stepped back and used my foot to push the wrench down. About a quarter turn at a time. After about 4 or 5 times it finally popped out. He never traveled very far and I was sure he did. Using a wrench and moving it slowly worked very well. I used regular oil on the threads that weren't under the impact patch. I had to put a 3/4 piece of wood between the studs and the wheel arch brace to keep it from turning sideways. I wish it was somewhere when I was younger. I don't plan to do many more brakes, but I'm glad about it. First, they could make the handlebars an additional 3 or 4 inches wide and it would work on most trucks, including 4x4s. Perhaps this would make it difficult for most users. Also give more power to the shaft for those in a hurry to take it off. I listed the size of my truck so people will know. The supplement says 12 and 3/4 inches. Mine is on the edge of that and it has worked well for me. Just take your time and let the pressure build up between 1/4 turns. It will pop out and nothing will break and nobody will get hurt.
