It worked fine on my 05 Sentra

Some info: - The skid plate can get in the way, I had to set mine at 2 and 8 o'clock - The front wheels can spin with a block when using a breaker, so I had to support it with my foot, which is quite inconvenient. Make sure the hooks fully engage the rotor and not just partially - the ratchet strap keeps them in place and I recommend using it too far, this will prevent the rotor from moving. Stupid I did. - Lubricate the shaft threads well, I think I received the returned item and the threads…

Works perfectly. on pullers

After a few days of fiddling with the rear drums on my '66 International pickup, I finally decided to buy the 'right' tool in hopes it would work. After reading the reviews I was very confident that this would be the solution. I received the tool and unpacked it. This is a very difficult mode and well done. I was excited to try it. Unfortunately it didn't fit my drum kit! The rear hub was sticking out too far and I couldn't reach the pull arms behind the drum with my fingers, they were set back

Need a bigger impact wrench

I'm not a mechanic but have been making my own brakes for 30 years. I've never had a more difficult job than trying to brake on a 2014 equinox recently. I had no problems with the rear brakes, but the front rotors didn't come off. I doused it with PB blaster, knocked out the "blank", smashed it with a flashlight and tried the caliper bolt trick. Nothing helped, so I bought it. With the included straps and my 300-foot-pound impact wrench, the rotor didn't budge. The puller popped out of the…

Chevy C2500 3/4 ton, 2WD.

The thing works great. The supplement says up to 12 and 3/4 inches. Well, my drums are a plus. The arms were about an inch from the ends of the pole. So much so that the spring guard went out. I just aligned and tightened it. Wrap the ribbon tight. I took a 1 inch wrench and put it on the head. Then I stepped back and used my foot to push the wrench down. About a quarter turn at a time. After about 4 or 5 times it finally popped out. He never traveled very far and I was sure he did. Using a…

Works great on a 2002 Camry (needs trimming)

Used on my Camry 02 with rear drums. This car has a full rear plate so I used a hacksaw to cut 2 sections (I've attached photos) to allow the OTC puller arms to hook into the real drum. If I left it on I would have to remove the wheel cylinder and deal with cleaning the brake fluid and also damaging the wheel hub as there are 4 bolts I can't access with the drum still on. In any case, I lightly oiled the jackscrew and levers to make them slide a little easier and hand-tighten. After tightening…

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Some nuances

This is a very strong puller. I have several other types of pullers from Craftsman and Harbor Freight but this one is by far the biggest and best. On my 26 year old Chevy S-10, which was very rusty, the left rear brake pads and the hub froze with it. The truck stopped because the wheel did not turn and the brake drum could not move when heated, nor when hit with a hammer, nor when pulled. My friends and I tried for hours and gave up. I seriously considered lugging it to a landfill because it…
