This filter fits my 2007 Honda Civic LX. I drove over 10,000 km with it. I checked it for 10,000 km and the filter didn't look dirty, and I drive in a big metropolis every day. I will check the condition in 12k. The yellowish/greenish color made the dirt a little harder to see. Otherwise, the machine definitely ran better the first time you changed the filter. While this filter will not last as long as Honda's OEM filter, this option is still much more economical. My only advice is if your car is still under warranty I would prefer to stick with OEM parts as the service center or manufacturer can void your warranty if they believe a third party part is the problem caused. And we all know how happy they are to request major warranty repairs.
