I bought these because I needed a good remote to carry my keychain for my powerful gate opener. getting closer and closer to open it. Most of the time I even have to detach the powerful remote controls and point them directly at the opener for it to work. Well then I got these remotes and damn they're better. They run much further, they work much more reliably and they are quick and easy to program with the teach button. If you don't mind a clunky keychain, you can remove the clip and there's nothing wrong with that. Or you can save the clip and put it in your car and skip the keychain part. I originally bought a much smaller universal remote but it was not compatible with my gate. A remote cost me $30. I sent it back and bought this one for the same price with 3 remotes.
