This product is very good. If you just want to use it to log your catches, that's great. I am also currently using my phone to navigate the water. You must have cellular signal to use this app, or at least maps. This forces me to use the second map app. It might be better for me if I didn't use a second navigation app at the same time. The main function of the Apple app is great. You press the button once to record your catch and twice to enter a waypoint. If you have a subscription, you can export waypoints later. I intend to do that because otherwise I won't be able to use the data as often.
