Luckily I already had a backup camera (cheap) installed on my RAM 1500 so all I had to do was cut the connector off the end of my existing power cable and use the connector cables to connect the power cable from the rear camera to it my existing power cord. However, if you are inexperienced in installing backup cameras, I strongly recommend that you have this camera installed by a professional. I'm not sure how long this product will last, so maybe I'll update my review and rating in a few months. Night vision image quality is grainy, but you can still see what's behind you. The image in the listing on Revain is definitely photoshopped which shows a very clear night vision image. NOT TOO CLOSER, to be clear. Image quality during the day is a bit purplish-bluish, but not enough to really bother me. It still serves its purpose of helping you back up. The parking rules are also a nice touch as I rely on them to tell me how close I am to my hitch. What I really like about it is that it can be mounted behind the license plate, giving it a much cleaner look. compared to other rear cameras of similar style.
