I bought these because my earrings have become elongated (in the ear) from years of wearing long, heavy earrings and because my children used to pull on my earrings when they were little. I was hoping this would allow me to keep and wear the earrings I already have. But that's not the case. On some of my earrings, the end of the hook (which goes into the earring hole) sticks out too far. For others, the earring hangs differently, so the earrings end up looking crooked or dangling oddly in my ear. I have to realize that I need to invest in regular clip earrings and get rid of my stud earrings.
