It is black for pipe fittings
It worked for what I needed it for. It has 5 holes and is threaded. I didn't know it was black until I got it. All other fittings I used were silver gray galvanized steel. The image looks like it is dark gray. But I don't see why I should care if a piece of hardware is a different color. My pipes are brass and some of the fittings are purposely rusty. Because Industrial.Home Depot and Lowe's don't even have 5-way faucets, that was my only option and it works.
