Bought this primarily to properly tighten lug nuts after rearranging the tires myself. True, most tire shops offer free spins with purchase, but you still have to get there, wait for service, and risk getting their drums out of tune. With that in mind, a few DIY tire changes will pay off for this torque wrench. I went to my search engine for suggestions on how to check torque wrench accuracy and this one came up within 2 or 3 ft/lb which is certainly acceptable. There's no harm in spending the extra $12 and getting a 1/2" socket that fits your size. Combine the 5" extension provided with this torque wrench with the matching socket wrench and you have the perfect adjustment for a precise and tightening nuts evenly.As advertised, this wrench also comes with a 1/2 to 3/8 adapter which is an added bonus since most of us home mechanics use the large socket sets that typically come with 1 drive tools / 2". connected, don't have or need Great tool at a great price.
