Review on ๐Ÿ”ช GProMe Mandoline Slicer: Adjustable Vegetable Slicer for Precise Thickness Cutting - Efficient Fruit Potato Slicer, French Fries Cutter, Julienne Grater - Premium Stainless Steel Blades (Black) by Laura Decker

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Blades appear to bend after a few uses

Update: So, I use this mandolin slicer quite a bit. And unfortunately, after a few uses, the julienne blades began to warp and the pick drum slipped off. At the moment I'm not sure if I'm going to keep the mandolin. First review: I've tried everything over the last month from the PL8 to the OXO Chef mandolin, Gramercy, Vekaya, Benriner, Mueller and a whole range of no name brand mandolins. from Revain and from Bed Bath. They were either not sharp or unsafe or not ergonomic. So far, this has done two main jobs: cutting thick slices of sweet potato and french fries. I haven't tried it with tomatoes yet. I will update my review as soon as I do. I had to sharpen the straight blade with a whetstone, but to be honest, given the price and failure of the nearly $100 OXO mandolin, I'm willing to get the job done. a little brittle, and one of the straws bent a bit when I crushed the sweet potatoes. So I'm a little unsure how long this will take. But then again, my OXO mandolin broke on the first try. I also like the crumpled slicing blade option and it worked great with potatoes.

Pros
  • โ˜… SAFE, OIL SAVING AND EASY TO CLEAN -- The food holder holds food securely and protects fingers, and the stainless steel guide is textured to prevent food from sticking. Compact design eliminates the need to store and change multiple different blades and folds flat for compact storage. The mandolin body and food holder are dishwasher safe (hand wash blades)
Cons
  • Almost everything is there
