High image quality

To my knowledge this camera has the best quality of any camera under $2000 (see DXO Mark reviews. It's even better than the D7100). I've really enjoyed this camera so far and will be shooting landscapes as well. I've been using this camera for a while now and I can say I'm really impressed with the image quality. I can shoot at higher ISO settings (ISO 640-2500 is common for me, even 3200 is fine in a pinch) than with my previous camera (Canon Xsi), which was a pretty good camera at the time. love the picture control feature. This allows me to customize my JPEGs. I shoot BOTH Raw and JPEG, and I use JPEG more often, mainly because I've already created my image the way I want it (using the Picture Control) so I don't have to spend a lot of time in Photoshop to get the image I want. I imagined it first. You can also customize Picture Control settings to your liking. And this review would not be complete without a REASON as to why I switched to Nikon after 33 years at Canon. See, I love the in-camera special effects. In fact, my favorite technique is multiple exposure. But when I was 16, Canon didn't have a camera (less than $1,000) that could do that. So I waited. And I've been waiting I waited 33 years and Canon never made one so I switched to Nikon. This particular camera (D5200) has two different multiple exposure options, one for JPEG (you can choose 2 or 3 exposures to overlap) and one for RAW. raw interesting. This allows you to select any two images on the memory card (they must be RAW images) and you can control how light each image will be in the final image. I LOVE my Nikon! Now for the not so good part. Everything always has a downside. And Nikon is no exception. The only two downsides I see with this camera are 1) short battery life. However, this can be remedied by purchasing a battery grip (other brand names are inexpensive, under $100) and 2) the 18-55 kit lens that comes with the body is pretty cheap (I recommend just buying the body and purchasing a separate lens). . ie 18-200mm Tamron Zoom. It sells for less than $200 at Revain.) This camera is worth every penny! Add to cart!:)
