I had Fenix 2 and Fenix 3 and now Instinct. I couldn't agree on the price of the Fenix 5 or Fenix 6 series. They didn't offer me enough features to upgrade my previous watch. They had many features, most of which I would never use. I'm not a triathlete, I'm just a hiker who loves to be in the woods. Instinct was the perfect upgrade after Garmin released the Explore app. Instinct doesn't come with maps, but the Explore app allows me to view a detailed topographical map on my large-screen smartphone. Set a waypoint and send it to my watch for navigation. In addition, the Instinct is much lighter than any other watch in the Fenix range. This makes it much easier to wear throughout the day. You almost forget he's on top of you. The GPS button is slightly recessed to prevent accidental pressing. On the Fenix 3, the GPS button accidentally got stuck in whatever I put my backpack on. Either end my current activity or start a new one when not needed.
