Review on 80250 Automatic Transmission Universal Drain by Noel Schmits

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great product and manufacturer

I use two of these on my cars now and love them. I have to say that the first one I bought broke. There were no instructions in the kit, the washing machine didn't work at all. It leaked and I had to take out the pan and start over. When I tightened it it broke in half. It's bad news. The good news is that when I asked for a return/replacement, the seller sent me a new one, no questions asked. The new one had different packaging and appears to be a newer version (with instructions on the box). This time I skipped the plastic disc and went the other way. I used chemical resistant silicone on the bolt and nut, inside and outside of the pan. I tightened it well with a lock washer on the outside of the pan and then let it sit overnight. I wrapped the drain plug around the threads with some tape. This part requires two wrenches, one for the drain plug and one to hold the assembly in place. After that, no more leaks and problems. No product is perfect, but what puts a good product first is the commitment of the seller and the manufacturer. They want to please customers by improving their product and supporting it when it fails, and you can't ask for more. 5+ stars!
