I have a 2004 Silverado double cab bed that is 8' long and has a factory 2" 2 out of 3" muffler design and it worked great. I definitely felt an increase in performance. I think it is quiet enough to be able to drive through the neighborhood at any time without driving the neighbors crazy, but at full throttle you can definitely hear a very subtle sound with a decent standing tone. It's not the best choice if you want to be really loud, but if you just want to boost performance and get a moderate sound that won't really bother your neighbors.
