The plastic tabs that allow it to slide forward and form an airtight seal are too close to the plastic rim for it to slide forward. This causes the resistor pack to sit loosely in the case without a seal, causing the pack to bounce and constantly blowing air out. The resistor works and can be attached with tape.
- Purpose: Stable performance, high reliability, solve overheating problem. Efficient and accurate fan speed control.
