Summary: A year ago (December 2018) I bought the XG2402 for my gaming laptop. My laptop itself is a 144Hz display and the previous BenQ I had just didn't look as smooth as it didn't have 144Hz. I did a quick search for Revain, found this display and blindly selected it. It doesn't disappoint! A year later (December 2019) I found it marked for Cyber Monday and couldn't resist picking another one up. Hardware: The monitor is a TN panel and, like all TN panels, looks a bit washed out compared to IPS displays. especially in perspective. But you play and face it, so it's okay. Resolution 1920x1080. On the connection side, the monitor supports two HDMI inputs and a DisplayPort. It also features two USB 3.0 (A) ports with one USB 3.0 (B) input. Behind the monitor screen are two red light bars that illuminate when the monitor is on and detecting a signal. You can turn them off if that bothers you. I don't take them off and they look pretty cool on the wall. Setting for 144Hz and G-SYNC. In the NVIDIA Control Panel settings, you need to go to the tree view and expand "Display". Under Change Resolution, make sure you select 1920 x 1080 under PC. You can now increase the refresh rate to 144Hz using the dropdown menu on the right. To enable G-SYNC, you need to go to the monitor's OSD menu and enable FreeSync. After that, go back to the NVIDIA Control Panel settings, expand Display and select Configure G-SYNC. Three steps in 3 sections: (1) Check "G-SYNC, Enable G-SYNC Compatibility" and enable full screen mode or full screen and windowed mode. (2) Select the XG2402 monitor. (3) Check Enable settings for the selected display model. Ready! Enjoy a smooth game!
