I started loom knitting on machines that are easier to find in local shops (no KB machines). These looms are heavier and the pins are thicker, a little over 5/8 inch apart and notched on the side. I wanted a loom that could use smaller yarns without doubling the strands. Although it is described as "clunky". I don't think the pins are as big as the first looms I bought and the pin tip design makes my stitches easier to work with, but the stitch can also slip off more easily (if you aren't, I do don't want that to be the case). After getting used to working with them, I have less of it. So I know where my start pin is (pin #1), I put the o-ring on the pin. We used a white and gray mandala loom. The leaflet that comes with this set of looms says the white and gray loom is a "baby" size, but after making a few hats on this particular loom it seems about 18-24 months being old (or for a very young older child). Age). . I assume that the smallest (turquoise) loom would be suitable for premature, maybe American doll sizes. These looms also weigh less than looms from other manufacturers and are very comfortable to hold. but after making a few hats on this particular loom, he appears to be about 18-24 months old (or for a very small older child). .
