Review on Cutting-Edge Southwire Equipment Electrician Scissors for DataComm Professionals by Joshua Mejia

Revainrating 2 out of 5

You can buy better scissors for almost the same price. Don't buy this.

I work with low voltage data cables. I bought these thinking they would save some time by having a large palm grip and no second finger hole. I've had them for about a month and have only used them at a job site to cut about 100 CAT6 data cables. to you). However, these scissors aren't sharp to be honest, they just suck! They don't work well with smaller communication cables, I can't even cut open a plastic bag. They might work well with 14-18g electrical cord but I wouldn't recommend them! A colleague on the same site had a similarly designed Milwaukee shear and it worked great. I also liked the heavier feel of the Milwaukee. I wish I could return them and either go back to Fluke shears or find Milwaukee shears at Revain.

Pros
  • Wire cutters and scissors
