Why didn't I get it sooner?

I do a lot of DIY/terminate the network cable. I used to only use the razor in my RJ-45 terminator. My friend suggested I get the lengths while I finish the wiring in my new house. So I bought this pair (his recommendation). After using it I am very frustrated with myself because I could have done my job much faster. If you want to make more than four or five cables, do yourself a favor and get some scissors. I'm sure you can find other things to work on as well.

Spring-loaded scissors! Sauce.

OK. I am in retirement. But also in daily use for my children's projects and my wife's HoneyDoList. These scissors are amazing. I haven't had to use the lifetime guarantee yet, but if the company keeps their word. this is a good buy. There's a bit of a learning curve for beginners, but I'll be buying a jump boot from now on. I have 3 work bags (if you want). One in the garage, one on the porch, and one hanging on a string under my desk. All my bags are from different manufacturers because I…

Best Scissors

I'm a network engineer by trade so when dealing with thin wire and such I've had other scissors that work great. However, I have big hands and they weren't very comfortable to hold my fingers, that's what sets them apart. They are comfortable and durable. I had a pair that were defective but I contacted the manufacturer and they asked for pictures, once they sent me a new pair it's on its way. I love these scissors for my job and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs to cut small…

A fragment of this pair of scissors

I really like these scissors, the reason I bought them was because my other scissors (Klein 2700) are stainless steel and therefore rust. Pros: Cuts heavier gauge wire (CAT6A, 14gage, etc.) very easily. The presence of a hole for the thumb and the handle will help not to injure your hands when cutting a large amount of wire. The serrated portion of the blade is great for stripping thicker coats. Scissors have thinner wire (26 AWG) or labels that sometimes don't cut properly, I think because of…

Pros
  • Tools and household goods
Cons
  • Big and bulky

I work with low voltage data cables. I bought these thinking they would save some time by having a large palm grip and no second finger hole. I've had them for about a month and have only used them at a job site to cut about 100 CAT6 data cables. to you). However, these scissors aren't sharp to be honest, they just suck! They don't work well with smaller communication cables, I can't even cut open a plastic bag. They might work well with 14-18g electrical cord but I wouldn't recommend them! A…

Pros
  • Wire cutters and scissors
Cons
  • Very expensive

All electricians and data scientists like to talk about their Klein tools. According to Klein, they all have everything and are blindly loyal to the brand. I work for a general contractor and never need them on a job site, but they're useful for two of my hobbies and they're way better than small cuts in every way. Southwire is a really good brand that has never let me down. The fact that they resemble tin snips rather than scissors is a boon for anyone with carpal tunnel. Their ergonomics are…
