Review on Cutting-Edge Southwire Equipment Electrician Scissors for DataComm Professionals by Tone Hatton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best cable cutters in the world and gardeners will love them too!

All electricians and data scientists like to talk about their Klein tools. According to Klein, they all have everything and are blindly loyal to the brand. I work for a general contractor and never need them on a job site, but they're useful for two of my hobbies and they're way better than small cuts in every way. Southwire is a really good brand that has never let me down. The fact that they resemble tin snips rather than scissors is a boon for anyone with carpal tunnel. Their ergonomics are second to none. They should only be used to cut stranded wire such as UTP. I do a bit of data and IT work and also do a lot of LED lighting. They're great for the stranded wire I usually use in them. Another thing about it is that these are the best medium duty pruning shears that money can buy. They are made from extra thick, high carbon tool steel with an anti-corrosion coating. The thumb lock is metal and very secure. The spring is inside with perfect tension, and the thick rubber palm grip is a million times better than the Kleins thumb loop. They are far better and far cheaper than anything intended for plants. They are ideal for trimming slightly woody flower stalks or thick herb clumps that are too thick for micro scissors and too difficult to reach for full size bypass scissors. These are the best scissors like this you can buy. I'm glad Amazon sells them alone. They are only sold in a more expensive set from Lowe's and while a leather holster and boot knife are cool I will never use them. These are at home.
