I use borax for washing sometimes, but what I really love (and the reason for this purchase) is how it keeps bugs out of my house. The ant trail made its way up to the third floor and into my kitchen, so I mixed some borax with honey and left a few drops on a piece of paper along the ant trail. This enticed them to eat the deadly paste and carry it home, and after 2 days the ants were nowhere to be seen. So easy, affordable, non-toxic - perfect! I have had great success controlling and preventing cockroach infestations with borax in the past.
