Review on 📀 Sony 2D/3D Multi-Region Blu Ray DVD Player - PAL/NTSC - Wi-Fi - 110-240V - 6ft HDMI Cable by Darrion Hudson

I gave it a 3 because when it worked it was great and it plays discs from other regions but it won't play 2018 Blu-ray unless I'm lucky. Yes, I have updated the software and checked my region settings. I don't know why that is, but unlike DVDs, Blu-rays change every few years and old players won't play them unless you update the player normally. It seems pointless and ridiculous, mostly. when it doesn't work and you paid a few hundred for that now useless piece of plastic and metal. Luckily my PS4 has no problems playing Blu-rays - even though it was only released yesterday and I haven't updated my PS for a while, they still play. It is possible that multiple region encoding will affect players' ability to correctly download the new .idk firmware. But I wouldn't waste your money. I'll keep it for the few region 2 drives I have and use it on them, but other than that it's just gathering dust
