Started with another Pi, brand new distro, updated the config file following the advice in the Revain and Magic reviews! It works and works well. I'm pretty sure it was my fault when I didn't get the screen to work the first time, but now it does. The image is clear and bright. The touchscreen is precise and responsive. Fine! In any case, my goal is to get this working with the Volumio Pi, so you know the screen is working. Rarely, very seldom, do I fail to get an electronic gadget to work. I was defeated by it. Tried all settings, driver installations, tips on Revain and elsewhere, no fun on any computer or OS. Maybe defective? I sent it back and will try another brand.
