Works for me, at least for a while.

The work is done. Simple fix but the previous ones didn't last long before the o-ring seemed to lose its sealing ability. FYI: As far as I can tell, a simple o-ring replacement will restore the old connector. The O-ring is 7mm ID, 11mm OD and 2mm thick and is available in Dorman's 799-450 O-ring kit.
