Excellent Can Opener in Can Openers

I had a can opener that lived it's first ten years on its own but when it broke and I tried to find a replacement I concluded that they weren't no can openers like in old times. I've tried the cheapest from Walmart, the most expensive from Target, the mid-range model from Revain, and they all broke within a few months. I'm so sick of not being able to open cans. I asked around and this can opener (and other smooth edged can openers) was recommended to me. I was skeptical because it looked difficult to use (I mean, where do you put a can opener on a can?). Thanks to a short YouTube video, I realized that smooth-edged can openers are actually very easy to use. This snaps easily into place and the large rubber knob rotates so easily you won't think you're doing anything. At first I didn't think I was doing it right because it was so easy. I get to the end of the glass and feel a click. I used the little beak on the side to lift the lid and was amazed at how easy it was. The lid just fell off. No effort, no struggle, no rough edges. I've seen others say you can use the lids to close the jars when you're done. I don't like it because it's not very secure and because I don't like keeping things in open jars, but you can do it. The only downside (very small downside) is that I can no longer put the lid on the jar before putting it in the bin. All in all I can say that this can opener is worth every penny I paid for it and I will definitely buy it again. (Also note: I waited a few months before checking this just to make sure it hadn't stopped working and is still working as well as it did on day one).

Cons
