Review on ๐Ÿฅฉ Tinned Meat Grinder and Sausage Stuffer: Weston #8 Manual - The Perfect Tool for Homemade Delights! by Kim Rogers

Good meat grinder when used properly

My family has used these meat grinders for decades. The reason for their popularity is that centuries-old traditions are reflected in the design and nobody could think of anything better. Of course there are always negative comments, but mostly from people who don't know what they are buying. 1) rust. Of course it rusts, steel rusts. In order not to be after washing, I put the steel parts (grinding disk and cutting knife) in a preheated toaster to dry them thoroughly and then brush them with oil. 2) The tin coating comes off. Gradually yes over the years. Not for the night! Any coating wears out over time, such as B. Teflon and various other types of coatings used on kitchen utensils. I wish it had more adjustment options to fit kitchen counters, counters over 1 1/2 inches thick. (Because it's inherent to casting, it's not easy.) The only difference I've seen compared to the illustration on Revain is that the cutting blade is NOT stainless steel, but forged carbon steel. . This is definitely my preference as not only is it sharper but it can be sharpened. Will rust, so dry well and oil after use.

Pros
  • Useful for more than it's intended purpose
Cons
  • Nervous
