This is just the product you need to quickly, easily and effectively chemically convert rust to a non-oxidizing finish. I used this product on a badly rusted underground door that otherwise would have needed replacing. I then applied two coats of Rust-Oleum Rust Converter 780730 using quality zinc-based spray paint to provide galvanic protection from the elements. The result is very nice, saves a lot of work when replacing the door or sanding down rust and the door is expected to last for many years. I highly recommend this product for the intended use.
