This is one of those rare occasions when a product exceeds your expectations. When I ordered it I thought it might come in handy if it actually works. The boy does it! We have pots of different sizes. And in a household where we have to cook two different types of pasta due to food allergies, having a colander that can easily be used for different sized pots is incredibly handy. An added bonus is that you don't have to pray that you're in the exact position over the screen (or that the screen might tip over when you start pouring). We throw away far less food that would otherwise be wasted on straining, cleaning is very easy and it is stored in a small fraction of our strainer space. I won't return until they last (own a few months)
