The best way to explain the feel of this mod is to say that it adds enough power that the V6 doesn't feel sluggish-mill and frustrating. .It makes the truck more energetic and lighter on its feet. To be clear, this is not the same as installing a turbo or supercharger, it is not the same performance. I think this CAI just adds enough power boost and you will be much happier with your 4R powerplant. I can't tell you what HP boost was implemented right away with this mod, I won't pay for dynamometers but I'm estimating it's around 15-20hp based on all my previous power settings. The instructions were fine, the installation isn't difficult, so it's pretty easy to figure out what's missing from the document to tell/show you. It's not the cheapest CAI, but from all the research I've done, it's definitely the most popular. I received a kit part number 511-302 that comes with a SynthaMax oil free filter and claims to be fairly easy to clean but can't comment on that yet. In my opinion this is a really great mod that you will benefit from right away and I am very happy with it. a new rubber pad into a weld nut that has never been used at the factory, so you may find that there is weld slag or a thin metal gasket (not quite sure what it was) in there that could blow your mind. I didn't have that big of a tap or self tapping bolt, but I was able to take one of the stock airbox mounting bolts and just screw it all the way in to tap it out to clear the hole. Installation error I encountered.
