Non-contact measurement of current/voltage does not seem to give any result

As a standard voltmeter it works perfectly. The bluetooth idea sounds good but I haven't used it (only saw it while writing a review) so untested by me. Non-contact measurement with current clamps gives no results at levels in the range of 120 V and 4-10 A. The seller claims that he should measure at these levels with low resolution, as this seems optimal for measuring really high currents, but should still have 0.1A resolution, which obviously isn't the case. As an autorange meter it would be nice if it worked with lower currents. However, it worked well with lower currents and voltages using standard wires. Maybe mine is wrong. i will return it Otherwise nicely packaged and works, I wish it worked for me. It has some features, but I have other basic voltammeters that do anything but bluetooth. I'd add that I'm a bit suspicious of this because it seemed to measure well, so I used it when I was converting lighting fixtures from fluorescent to LED and used probes to verify that I had correctly identified the switch to turn it off. It didn't measure the voltage on the incoming AC wires, so I cut the wires with my cutter and grabbed both at the same time. Well the AC wasn't off and luckily I was just touching the insulated part of the cutters when there was a huge spark and now there's a nice hole in those cutters. There's a small chance the probes weren't making proper contact, but I figured they were, and I'm very cautious when it comes to AC. Again I probably received a faulty unit and it's not an essential tool for me otherwise I would have worked with the seller to get the right one as they seem to be responsive.
