Works well, but takes some getting used to.
This is a compact version of professional knife cleaning mats used in the hospitality industry. I really like it, it does the job and protects your hands. However, this is a very different type of dishwashing brush and it takes some time to get used to and figure out which side of the brush to press on when washing knives. I'm taking off a star because I would like it to be a little wider and have more opacity. This makes it easier to clean large knives such as chef's knives or bread knives. Overall it's still a lot better and safer than a regular brush or sponge.
