Looks perfect in photos but don't buy. You'd think you'd stick a knife in this thing and then squeeze it so both sides get scrubbed at once, right? That's the ONLY REASON anyone would buy this, right? It is SO RIGID that it cannot be compressed. If you tried it would just break. Fragile plastic and the hole is too wide. It's like throwing a hot dog down the hall. waste of money.

I got an overall rating of almost 5 stars and thought it would be good for our family. Unfortunately when it arrived I cleaned a stack of knives of various sizes and it did a terrible job. I had to return to them with a standard sponge. Also, it didn't hold soap very well. When I contacted Revain to return it they said it was non-refundable and gave me no further explanation. I understand this is a small amount but what a disappointment!

This is a compact version of professional knife cleaning mats used in the hospitality industry. I really like it, it does the job and protects your hands. However, this is a very different type of dishwashing brush and it takes some time to get used to and figure out which side of the brush to press on when washing knives. This was quite a handy knife cleaning tool, I used to always seem to destroy sponges or other dishwashing tools when trying to use them on sharp kitchen knives. The only thing I would wish for would be to make the "backbone" of the tool out of a slightly flexible material so you can put more pressure on the bristles when cleaning the blades. Dried or caked food on the blade is difficult to remove. Most of the time though, it works great and won't damage other dishwashing tools or cut you.

I hate my dishwasher. I'm renting a space, so I can't just replace something. I hate running it half full. I am a big fan of Joseph Joseph's designs. The JOSEPH JOSEPH Y-GRINDER SALT AND PEP GRINDER was brilliant. An exceptional design that feels great in the hand, works extremely well while holding salt and pepper in your hand. There is nothing like it.
