There may not be a substitute for preparing your own slides, but the reality is that many of us don't have the time or resources to do it (especially when it deals with some of the more exotic examples), so pre-made slide sets are a must for any teacher. I work as a tutor (in various subjects) and often let my students look through my microscope when we are working on biology. So I've bought a few sets of slides over the years, but this is by far one of the best I've seen (including some specimens I'd never seen in a microscope before, so I was particularly excited about this). If you have a microscope, you should definitely buy one of these kits. It's perfect for teachers (and tutors like me) as well as home teachers or just the curious. This is a great way to give students a chance to see the mysterious world of biology with their own eyes.
