Personally I'd like the newer model Cisco DPC3008, but Cablevision in Long Island, NY has a limited list of supported modems and it's one of a few that I could actually buy more of, as most of them are replaced by newer models. but they don't support them. As I found out in other cases when it's not in the supported list. this may or may not work. Of all the brands listed, this is the only brand that meets the criteria of a company I trust. The nice thing is I wasn't able to install it personally since I'm a few hours away, but I was able to run my non-technical brother. disconnect this and that and reconnect in that order. and for 10 minutes he zoomed at the same speed as before (15 mg). We bought this modem to get the speed up to 50 Up/25 Down as the current one was too old for it and they paid for that service. After a quick call to the cable company, he checked the modem speed again and is now getting 59 incoming and 29 downloads. Great easy install and now much faster internet with a branded modem.
