I recently bought a small laptop that was just a flat table. Since I wanted my keyboard to be slanted, I bought this one. I like that it's lightweight which makes it very portable. However, I have a 17" laptop and although it is designed for 10-17" laptops, my laptop does not stay on the stand. It slides up and over the bottom flap it's supposed to hold. I ended up using two 2" x 4" industrial grade 3M Velcro straps attached to both edges of the stand and the back of my computer. While this works, I now have to remember that the stand has the grippy side of the velcro. So when the stand is not attached to the computer, I have to be careful when setting it down. Since I have enough space in the computer case, I can just leave it on the computer. The Velcro works great and makes the laptop very stable. Yes I would buy it again. But I think a 17 inch laptop is pushing the limits of what it can actually hold securely.
