Review on Cost-Effective CCTV Simulated Dome Camera: VideoSecu Imitation Dummy Security Camera with Flashing LED Light 3PZ by Wagner Witlin

Being a non-functional device (relying on trickery or fakery as a potential behavioral deterrent for its effectiveness) it's quite difficult to give a typical characterisation. Valuation. But it does what it's supposed to do: it looks like a surveillance camera, and the red flashing LED works. It seems to encourage people to do their best and refrain from illegal activities (which is why we bought it). but I have to say WHAT IT APPEARS: Because it's not actually a security camera, I have to make an educated guess (not the camera's fault - obviously I couldn't afford the original, so this is the next best option). My only concern about this particular type of fake camera imitation is that I've really only seen them as imitations (ie on other sites like overstock.com full of other 'specials') and I'm concerned that a lot of people will discover them could see this as fake at first glance (in hindsight maybe I should have gone for a more traditional model?). I need to check if there are REAL security cameras of this type, and you should too, before deciding not to buy one. It did have a sticker on it saying there was a security video but we thought it was nice. use it with her (since she just yells: BLOW!), so we didn't use it. For a fraction of the cost of a real camcorder, this makes people doubt that they're doing something shitty or illegal that they wouldn't do. I want to record myself. I just want to make sure that this particular model has a real working counterpart so as not to leave the game enlightened on such things (own fault: sorry) in order to be able to give a better review. But to me it looks legit, the red LED flashes like it should, it's easy to install and remove to change the battery - something I haven't had to do yet (bonus: it doesn't eat batteries!), and it really does. Have the video sticker ready if you want to use it. It also arrived on time and appeared brand new out of the box. The downside (unlike previously mentioned) is that it's all plastic, So on very close inspection it looks pretty cheap, but I don't think most people stick around long enough to really check it out to not get filmed and show an interest in it. All in all - well worth it for the price (especially if you can't afford the original).
