Review on 10-Piece Cookware Set: Calphalon Premier Space-Saving Stainless Steel Pots and Pans by Haley Johnson

I liked the stackability and compactness of this pot and pan set. But be careful; This is achieved through a steep design tradeoff. no conventional handles on the lid! By regular lid handles I mean a handle or similar handle in the center of a pot or pot lid. These lids don't have that (because otherwise they wouldn't be stackable). Instead, they have two handles on the side of the lid. You'll need two hands to remove one of these lids from a pot or pan. But wait, there's more! These lid handles are not insulated and therefore get hot. So not only do you need your hands to lift these lids, you also need two oven mitts (if the pot/pan is hot)! With the usual lids, you only need one hand and often not even a glove to lift them. I tried cooking in these Calphalon pots/pans once and immediately sent them back.
