I love these things. I'm not a brewer, but I like to brew my own beer. I use them because I can bottle depending on the beer style. I think most home brewers add sugar to the entire batch and then bottle it, but I never know exactly how much beer I have in a bucket. This, and I make 2.5-3 gallon batches, so this works great for me. They seem to carbonate the drink as quickly as anything else and are very easy to use.
