It works wonders! Comes without instructions

We recently rescued two baby Red-eared Slider turtles. In fact, a friend did and asked us to help them. Admittedly, we don't know what we're doing - YouTube is a godsend. After a few days, however, the water was barely visible. We put this filter on and nothing happened. Checked every hour and nothing. Then, at night, it started working fine. And at the 20 hour mark, the difference was incredible. I posted a photo of the 24 hour mark. It's almost perfectly clean! I was skeptical about this. We had fish but never used a bio ball filter (always charcoal). These balls are pretty smooth and from what I've seen in YouTube videos it's not very good. Coarse balls should have more space for bacteria. I also read that bio balls can't be submerged in water? But I don't know how else to use this filter. As for the cons, I'd like to see instructions that come with it. I had to rely on YouTube and the photos on the list to find out. You need to take out the plug, put the balls in, put the sponges back in, attach the suction cups, and then attach the regulator (it needs a little rubber band or it will spit out right away). A rubber band is included but can easily be overlooked as there are no instructions. All in all it works! So I can't complain. I have to wonder if it would work even better if the balls weren't fully submerged in water or if they were rougher? I just don't know enough to judge. But my photos prove that it really works!
